Team Jesus Update: March 27th, 2025- w/ Ft Lauderdale Recap

Happy Thursday Beloved of God! I hope you’re having a glorious day!

I am just starting to recover from our epic marathon mission trip to Ft Lauderdale, and wow was it amazing!

We began the mission on Monday night by getting prayed over at The Front, and we could definitely feel the hand of God upon us. Natalie, who was in my arms during the prayer, even seemed to get slain in the Spirit. She rested her head on my chest nearly the entire time, which she never does while holding her that way. I felt like that had to be a sign.

Here’s the recording:

Then, the next day we had a powerful time of intercession over the trip at the Sarasota House of Prayer. Before we prayed, I shared a brief message about the history of Spring Break and how the devil used it to be the open door to bring the American youth into the doctrine of Balaam:

But I have a few things against you, because you have some there who hold the teaching of Balaam, who kept teaching Balak to put a stumbling block before the sons of Israel, to eat things sacrificed to idols and to commit sexual immorality. Revelation 2:14

This is the 1958 book that seeded this doctrine into the American youth:

In the Old Testament, after the Midianites taught the doctrine of Balaam and led the children of Israel astray, The Lord gave Moses a command to go to war against them. This is also the passage that He gave me to pray out of, and I believe it was a prophetic decree over us and the trip:

Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, “Be hostile to the Midianites and attack them; for they have been hostile to you with their tricks, with which they have deceived you in the matter of Peor”  Numbers 25:16-18

Here’s the recording of the prayer meeting:

After the time of intercession, we packed up and hit the road. It was amazing to see how much stuff I could fit in the van that I rented- 20 cases of water, 3 carts, a keyboard, a cajon, a guitar, a sign, 2 speakers, 100+ Gods promises books, 1000+ leis and more:

It was pretty cool to see this article come out just before I left too. Definitely another encouragement that God is moving in Gen Z.

As it was last year, right from the start we had one Divine appointment after another.

The first powerful Divine appointment for me was with 4 players from the Indiana University South Bend basketball team. One of the players came up and shook my hand while I was preaching, and he thanked me for what we were doing. I put the mic down and began to talk to him and all 3 of his friends came over. I ended up talking to them for close to an hour about the gospel, my testimony, life with God and how to live a victorious Christian life. They were all very hungry and they all prayed to receive Jesus, got materials and got connected with me online.

The one who shook my hand took my aside after and told me that he fell away from the faith a year ago after his dad died, but that seeing us was a sign that he needed to come back. Amazing!

This is us after. I feel so tiny next to them!

The entire rest of the night was also amazing. SO many kids were coming over and praying to receive the Lord that our entire team was busy nearly the entire night. Here’s just one pic:

Here’s a few video clips from our night missions, mostly from night 1:

That night we ministered until about 4am and we were still EXHILERATED at the end of the night. I couldn’t fall asleep until close to 6am!

The next day, I woke up and truly felt a kiss from God as I looked out the windows of the house we were staying in. A few months back, the Lord connected me with a guy who owned this $2.2M house, which is 2 miles from the corner where we minister. It was given to us for free for Sofiya and Natalie and I to stay in while on the trip:

While enjoying this view and while waiting for the team to arrive for prayer, I got this email which was yet another wink from God that we were right where we were supposed to be:

Then, we went out again during the day and saw many people touched and prayed over. Here’s just a few pics:

Wednesday night I was so proud of the team for taking the reins and hitting the streets without me. I had been woken up insanely early by a guy who was sent to the house to take pics and needed my van moved, so by 11pm when everyone was ready to go out, I was struggling. I got reports that many people prayed to receive the Lord that night though which is awesome. This was the first time the team has gone out without me in Ft. Lauderdale, so this made me VERY happy.

Thursday started off with a bang. Right as we were unpacking the van, 5 college girls came up to us asking for flower leis and also asking “is this a scam?” When I asked what they meant, they clarified by saying that they thought that maybe we were using God to scam people (which REALLY shows how deceived they were).

I began sharing with them the good news of the gospel and they were engaged. Then, at one point a DOVE came and landed on an electrical wire next to us, which they acknowledged was a sign. Here’s a video clip of that moment:

As we kept talking to them, I got a word of knowledge for one of the girls (whose name happened to be Sophia) and after I shared it, all the girls knew it was the Lord. They all then prayed with us to receive the Lord and took our materials. It was powerful!

Then, before we left the parking lot, we had two more Divine appointments with these people:

Then, after we got to the corner, people were coming up one after another to receive ministry and prayer. One girl even got lit up with revival fire and wanted to sing with us:

Then, her friend came and got hit with revival fire too and once she started singing with her, a whole group of students got drawn into the presence of the Lord. Forgive the thongs in the pic!

After this, many people were receiving prayer and ministry, including the sister of one of the girls who sang, who is a prostitute. Shes the one recording the video in the pic. It was a powerful time! Here’s one pic:

Around 5:30pm on Thursday, we hit the road to go to Florida Atlantic University, where our team was slated to help lead a worship event taking place in the middle of the student housing area. It was AMAZING!

About 150 kids came, the worship was lit, the presence was strong, and the Lord drew many hearts into a greater place of surrender. In fact, after I preached a message about the how the Lord wants to deliver the youth of America from the doctrine of Balaam, I gave an altar call for people who wanted to surrender all to Jesus…and the altar filled up with hungry kids.

Here’s a few clips:

I also got a report that one of the people at the altar was a woman who was passing by and got drawn in. She said that she knew nothing of the event, but when she walked by, she got convicted of her sins and wanted to surrender all to Jesus. How amazing!

After the event, we all went back to Ft. Lauderdale and had a powerful time of prayer before we went out. Here’s us goofing before we hit the road:

Then, we had another epic 4am night on the streets, full of Divine appointments. Most of my time was spent ministering to these young men. These two are from Kentucky:

and these guys are from NY:

These conversations were each close to an hour long. The kids were hungry, engaged, and I believe ready to fully surrender to Jesus. It was such a blessing to see them have these breakthroughs.

Here’s a few other pics from early in the night:

Then, something really wild, powerful and prophetic happened. A woman with a chain around her neck came and got prayer, and she immediately began to manifest:

After receiving prayer for close to an hour, she got set free and she threw off her chain!

Here’s some video clips of what happened:

This is her friend, who also came for prayer, describing how things happened:

What was so crazy is that while we were at FAU, I mentioned during my message that they sell those chains at Spring Break and that they are physical representations of what happens in the spirit when people come there- that they have chains of bondage put around their neck. Then, during the altar call at FAU, I heard the Lord say that we needed to sing the song “break every chain” over the kids at the altar.

Fast forward a couple hours- the woman in the video (who is a former worship leader!) hears the worship and drags her friend (who is wearing one of those chains) over to get prayer. Then, the former worship leader hears from God that she is supposed to sing “break every chain” over her friend, and then her friend gets delivered and throws the chain off.

I really believe that all these confirmations were meant to be a prophetic sign to us of what the Lord is doing in the spirit over the city and over the youth- breaking off the chains of Balaam.

What especially makes me think this is that

  1. the crowds at Spring Break were far smaller than usual. Just take a look at this video comparing 2022 to 2025:

2. the kids seemed less drunk and more hungry for God than I’ve seen before too.

Also cool was that the date when all this began was 3/20, and the Lord kept drawing my attention to Ephesians 3:20- “Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us,

Friday was another powerful day. We had a solid team, and many people got ministered to and prayed over:

That night, we decided to hit downtown Ft Lauderdale where the clubs are, and we had an amazing time of ministry. Not many pics, but her is one:

I heard from the team that there were many powerful encounters that night, and I even got to pray with several prodigals to come back to the Lord including a man who used to play drums in the church and this man who is a pastors son:

The next day, we felt led to head down to Miami to be part of a huge Jesus march. The team had gotten a permit to shut down a city street and have worship right out in the open, which was awesome!

Somewhere around 1500 people came and there was worship, the preaching of the gospel, a march around the downtown, and about 30 baptisms. Here’s one video:

Cool to meet this brother too:

That night, we joined our new friend and brother Devonte (aka Kingdom Bizness) for an outreach in Wynwood Miami. We just met Devonte on the trip, but we were excited to minister with him. He is an ex-gang banger turned Christian rapper, and he was traveling to south Florida to shoot a music video when we got connected with him.

He also has the definitive Ft Lauderdale Mission trip anthem, which you can hear here:

Wynwood was great. We got to minister to a number of people, and I even got to pray with a Muslim to receive revelation from Jesus and with a Jew that had just recently started opening his heart to Jesus. Here’s a few pics from that night:

Then, around 11:30, we went back to Ft Lauderdale and had more Divine appointments, including with these 4 students whom we met in the parking lot. They all got ministered to and prayed to receive Jesus:

The next day, after checking out, we met up at a diner to have breakfast, and while praying over the youth that Devonte was traveling with, two people across from us overheard us and asked if we could pray for them too. The Lord released a word of knowledge, and the woman was in tears. Afterwards they both prayed to receive Jesus.

By then, most of the team was gone, but we still had about 6 of us left to hit the streets. The day began with a powerful Divine appointment in the parking lot where 5 young men prayed to receive Jesus, pictured here walking away:

and it ended with a group of 4 praying to receive Jesus. In between there were other great conversations too, which led to a handful of people praying to receive the Lord also.

During the trip, after I prayed for each person to receive the Lord, I would ask to connect with them on Instagram. A handful of people didn’t have it so I couldn’t get them all, but I ended up with 33 people following me. Maybe there was 40+ total that I prayed with. And it wasn’t just quick conversations either, it was like 30–60-minute discipleship conversations, mostly.

All that to say, it was such an amazing and fruitful time, and I cannot wait to go back next year!

One last thing that happened that was really cool and prophetic, was that I went to fill up my gas tank before getting on the highway and it took exactly 18.888 gallons to fill it up:

Since 8 is the number of new beginnings, I have to believe there is a new beginning over Ft. Lauderdale, Spring Break and the youth of America. In Jesus name!

I want to give a big shoutout to all the mighty warriors that came with us on the trip- Chris, Geraldine and kids, Rose and kids, Amber, Josh, Hannah, Devonte, Alex G, Joel M, Joel S, Alex M, Patrick, Paul, Ken, Karson, Tom, Julie and Brittany. You guys are awesome!

Also want to give a huge shoutout to the amazing team that hung back (or came back) and held things down in the 941- Mike M, Gene, Thom, Amber, Karson, Paul, Alexis, Dave, Mike F, Chuck and Debbie. Thanks to you the fire on the altar kept on burning!

I’m excited to get back out on the streets of the 941 this weekend, and hope to see you there!!! The harvest is plentiful, and revival is in the air!!!

Love and blessings!

Chris, Sofiya and Natalie
