Team Jesus Update: February 20th, 2025

Hey my friend! Happy Thursday!

I want to start off this week’s update with a confession….

You may remember me recently sharing the prophetic word given in the 80’s and 90’s that “when Chiefs win the Super Bowl it would be a sign that revival is on the way.” Well, going into Super Bowl Sunday, I wholeheartedly believed that the Chiefs were going to pull off a historic 3-peat…signifying that we were in a time of historic revival. When the Chiefs lost the Super Bowl so badly, I began having an inner test of faith, and I had to wrestle with whether I still wholeheartedly believed that we are in a season of historic revival.

Although we walk by faith and not by sight, I asked the Lord to give me just a little more evidence to show me that the revival rains were still flowing…and boy did He answer. Just this week there have two major moves of God on college campuses- one at the University of Kentucky:

And another mighty move of God at Ohio State:

And on top of that, the results of a massive study just came out saying that the majority of teens in America are “very motivated” to learn more about Jesus:

All this to say…. I still believe!

Another great bit of Kingdom news is that it was just announced that 23,000 babies were saved in the last 9 months since the heartbeat bill went into effect in the Sonshine State:

And one other cool bit of news for us (since it will likely mean bigger crowds to minister to over the next 12 months), Siesta Beach just got ranked #1 beach in America (again) and #4 beach in the world.

So many reasons for Team Jesus to celebrate!

In other news, this weekend we brought a team over to Daytona Beach to minister at the 500, and before I go into the details of the trip, let me just say how proud I am of the team for holding down the 941 in my absence.

On Friday, Karson led his second outreach at Bayfront and got to minister to lots of people who were out for Valentines Day.

On Saturday afternoon, Mike and Rochelle brought a team to Woodland and ministered in our place. I heard there was even some physical healing, and one guy got filled with the Spirit.

On Saturday evening, Mike took over the set up and he and the team had a fruitful night at Riverwalk.

And on Sunday, Mike took over the setup at Siesta and the team had a good night despite the intense red tide that had just rolled in.

Honestly, the fact that everyone stepped up and kept things going was one of the best parts of my entire trip to Daytona. As for the trip itself, if I were to sum the trip up in two words, they would be beautiful…and difficult.

This was my 23rd trip since the Lord called me to lead statewide missions…and I’ve NEVER experienced so many diverse challenges to executing one assignment.

There was a major physical attack on me, major travel issues with the team, and major logistical challenges the day of. Despite all this, we were still able to sow Jesus into hundreds and hundreds of people in just a few hours.

We also had a good amount of Divine appointments, and two that really stand out…

The first was with a young man (maybe in his late 20’s) who had NEVER heard of what Jesus did. I shared the full gospel with him, and he prayed with me to have an encounter with Jesus. He then took tracts; a Gods promises book and a water bottle with a picture of Jesus on the cross. I was honored to be the first one to open his eyes to the truth.

The second was with a woman who came up asking for prayer for her daughter. She was weighed down by the fact that she was a single mom, and that the dad was not in the picture. She also told me that she never even knew who her own dad was, because her mom was very promiscuous, and she was the product of a one-night stand. She also told me her mom died when she was 8 and that she was raised by her grandmother.

The Lord gave me a word for her about how she had purpose and destiny despite coming into the world in such dark circumstances…and she received it. The Lord touched her, and she prayed with me to receive Jesus, the Holy Spirit and the love of the Father. What’s so crazy is that as I was praying for her to receive the love of the Father, Alex, who couldn’t hear what we were saying, felt the Lord tell him to play “Good Good Father” which she felt was a confirmation of the Lord’s activity.

We are still in contact with her, and we are working to get her connected with strong believers in the area.

All this to say, even though much of the trip didn’t go as planned, I’m SO grateful we went. Thank you to all who prayed and partnered with us to help make it happen! We are definitely going back again next year!

BIG thanks to Karson, Thom, Amber, Gene, Meredith, Micah, Dave, Mike M, Mike V, Chuck, Debbie, Howie, Jack, Rachael, Laney, Paul, Kaitlyn, Anna, Mike, Rochelle, Patrick, Tom and Julie for coming out to serve! Great work!

I’m excited to be back on the 941 mission fields this weekend and we hope to see you there too!

Love and blessings,

Chris, Sofiya and Natalie
