Team Jesus Update: February 6th, 2025

Happy Thursday Beloved! Hope you are doing AMAZINGG!

I think I’ve said this for about 3 straight weeks, but WOW what a week it was in the Kingdom.

Last week I shared about how America was following the pattern of national revival outlined in the Bible…as we watched President Trump do the modern-day version of what King Asa and other godly leaders did when they assumed power in Israel after seasons of great rebellion:

“He removed the foreign altars and the high places, smashed the sacred stones and cut down the Asherah poles.”

2 Chronicles 14:3

I gave some examples in last week’s update of how Trump did that right off the bat once he took office- Team Jesus Update: January 30th, 2025 – Awaken941

And here are a few more- an order to purge another stain of the transgender altars from the culture of our government:

And even more consequential- the signing of an order to abolish many demonic agendas out of schools AND to reintroduce patriotic education:

You can read more about this order here- Ending Radical Indoctrination in K-12 Schooling – The White House

In addition to more demonic altars being torn down, this week- we also saw the next step in national revival, which is mentioned in the very next verse:

“He commanded Judah to seek the Lord, the God of their ancestors, and to obey His laws and commands.”

2 Chronicles 14:4

In modern day terms, maybe that would sound something like this:

It was a very interesting and amazing speech that he gave. He spoke about Americas long history of being blessed by God and how we as a nation need to come back to Him. I find this especially interesting given the verse above about Asa- because it says that he called the nation back to the God “of their ancestors.” This shows that an element of national revival is to remind people of how God has shown Himself faithful to those that laid the foundations for the nation, which would spark even more thankfulness towards God.

Trump also quoted some scriptures, and he even shared testimonies of several godly forefathers. This included John Winthrop, one of the Puritan Pastors that came in 1631, just after the Pilgrims. He also shared a testimony of how getting miraculously saved from a bullet elevated his faith and the faith of his two sons. He even says that the fact that it made his son Don Jr, have “25%” more faith in God was a “miracle.”

You can listen to it here:

And this came one day after American Lawmakers came together with national Christian leaders at the Museum of the Bible in Washington DC for the National Gathering of Prayer and Repentance:

During that service they cried out to God for forgiveness and mercy. They also acknowledged His hand on our founding, including through a very neat opening video. You can see the entire service here:

And of course, as we know, what God does through the government is great, but at the end of the day it’s about the people of the nation getting rid of the “altars” in thier own lives and seeking God wholeheartedly. That is why it was so cool to see this statistic come out in the midst of all these things God is doing through our government:

And this is also the week when a top secular musician (a Nashville rap/country artist “Jelly Roll”) is partnering with Brandon Lake on a remix of Lake’s popular worship song “hard fought hallelujah”.

Jelly Roll, who is a self-proclaimed backslidden believer, said that the song brought him back to a place of worship that he hadn’t been to in years. Read more about that here- Jelly Roll Collabs This Singer After Worship Song Touches Him | Jelly Roll Collabs This Singer After Worship Song Touches Him

Also interesting timing, because a primary ingredient in national revival is God calling the prodigal’s home. May all backsliders in America come back home just like Jelly Roll did in Jesus’ name!

And of course, this is also happening right alongside Trump showing unwavering support for the nation of Israel. In fact, Prime Minister Netanyahu was the first foreign leader to visit Trump at the While House (definitely a sign), and during the meeting, they had an incredible press conference where Netanyahu told the media that Israel has never had a better friend than Trump in the White House. He even said during the speech (I believe prophetically), “the roar of the Lion of Judah is being heard loudly through the middle east.”

Watch it here:

And there was also this announcement, which was shocking and amazing.

Now, I’ve said this before, and I’ll say again, but I wouldn’t be surprised if in the days to come we start hearing more serious talk about Israel rebuilding their Temple, which would be the prophetic sign to end all signs.

In fact, on that note, pretty recently the Lord did something (not seen in 2000 years) as a sign that we are getting very close. Read about that here- ‘The First Time After 2000 Years’: Israel’s Biblical Red Heifers Attract World Attention | CBN News

In other news, I’m super excited about tomorrow! After 254 weeks of sowing Jesus into Bayfront Park, the Lord is preparing it for a time of transition. I’m so proud of my brother Karson for stepping into the calling of leadership over this beautiful outreach and to help steer it into the future. We had a time of shadowing and commissioning last Friday:

I’m excited to see what the Lord does as the team is able to meet there earlier and is ultimately able to reach more people. PLEASE try and join him there when you can!

Earlier on Friday, I also had a chance to minister to a young man who was very open and had faith. He prayed to receive Jesus with me too:

There were also some good interactions with Hispanics in the park- muchos gracias Mauricio and Jenny!

On Saturday, we had a great church service at Woodland Village where I shared a message about persevering through trials. While I was there, I walked by a bulletin board, and I saw flyers for all kinds of “Jesus events.”

This is amazing because when we started ministering there in September of 2023, they had NOTHING Jesus related except a Catholic communion service. We’ve been praying for God to send the laborers to sow into these “forgotten” members of society… and He is! So cool!

At Riverwalk, we saw a powerful move of the Spirit right off the bat when a large group of kids came up and prayed with me to receive Jesus after the altar call. Here’s a few seconds of it:

The rest of the night was great too. Many people stopped for prayer and ministry and many tracts were given out:

On Sunday, the beach was packed, and we got to sow into SO many people. There were a number of good conversations too. While still at the unloading zone, I met a backslidden believer named John who had just found out that his unborn baby died that morning- he thinks because his ex-girlfriend had an abortion. I got to sow into him a lot and also pray for him. It was amazing to see how God timed our meeting to be on the same day that he got such horrible news.

I also met several young people who prayed to receive Jesus, and others on the team had some good interactions as well. Here’s one woman that came for prayer after hearing the Word.

One man who came for prayer was struggling with the loss of his wife and God touched him in a powerful way. He was crying, and afterwards he so wanted to show his appreciation that he gave me $80.

I also had a long talk with a Christian couple who was in sexual immorality, and I shared a lot of Word with them, which was very fruitful. I’m believing that the Lord will use our conversation to bring conviction to them if they go down that road again.

As we were winding down, Brittany and Asa came with a woman named Amelia whom they met in the drum circle. She had prayed with them to receive Jesus and received a lot of ministry afterwards.

As I was telling someone earlier, even though our hope and prayer is that these brief interactions will lead to a lifetime of these people following God, we know that more often than not, these interactions are just one (sometimes VERY) meaningful step on their journey to full surrender. Just as Jesus said in John 8 to those who already made some agreement with who He was:

31 So Jesus was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, “If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; 32 and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.”

We know that the Word that we give them brings some freedom, but full freedom will require them continuing in His Word. Let’s pray for that as we pray for the outreaches- that God will give the people we minister to a perpetual hunger to be in the Word and to live it out.

On that note, there will be no prayer and fellowship gathering tonight. I have been invited to teach an evangelism class at a ministry school in Port Charlotte on Monday so I will be using the time to prepare for that.

Here’s some info on the school- Firebrand Discipleship | Global Fire Starter

Also, in case you missed last Thursday’s message from Jonathon Cahn, you can see it here. This was the same message he gave at Christian Retreat:

I hope all this GOOD NEWS is encouraging to you and I hope you are ready for MUCH more. I’m sure there won’t be any shortage of it anytime soon!

Lastly, I want to thank the mighty group of warriors that came to sow last weekend- Karson, Mauricio, Jenny, Amber, Karen, Thom, Howie, Chuck, Debbie, Ricardo, Mike, Asa, Brittany, Joe and Rose. Great work everyone!

We’re excited to be back on the mission fields again this weekend and we hope to see YOU there!

Love and blessings!

Chris, Sofiya and Natalie
