Happy Thursday Saints! I hope all is glorious!
First off, thank you so much for praying for us on Tuesday. The 700 Club interview was great, and we are excited to see what God does through it! Here’s a few pics from the shoot.
Although it is pretty amazing that about 1 million people will see this segment on the day it airs, I’m especially excited that my family will see it. As you may know, when I came to Christ ALL my family members were unsaved. My parents, my sister, my aunts, my uncles, my cousins, everyone. Praise God, in the last 18 years I’ve seen some family members come to Christ and I’ve seen others become very open.
I’ve prayed earnestly for all these years for all of them to receive greater revelation of the power and love of God and I fully believe that this segment is an answer to my prayers. I also think it is super cool that the segment will air on Christmas Eve, when those in my family will be celebrating (albeit unintentionally) the birth of our Lord.
Please join me in prayer that this segment will help lead them to Jesus.
Speaking of people being led to Jesus, we had a great weekend at the outreaches. On Friday night there were hardly any people at the park, but God still moved. At one point 3 teenage boys walked by and I told them God bless you. They thanked me and then walked over towards O’leary’s. About 15 minutes later, they came back towards the statue and sat down while I was preaching. When they sat down, I was actually winding down my message, but I sensed that they came back to listen so I kept preaching for another 10 minutes or so. They listened to the entire message and bowed their heads and prayed during the altar call.
After this I spoke with them for about 20 minutes and shared more with them about how to follow Christ. One was catholic and two were largely unchurched. They all prayed with me to receive Christ, and they took all our materials. It was awesome. Here’s we are:
A little while later a young man named Caden came by, whom we first met over a year ago. The first night we met him, he was at Bayfront Park commemorating the 1-year anniversary of the day he attempted suicide. Caden was walking in the park thanking God for saving his life when he saw us. It blew his mind (and ours) that God orchestrated the meeting on the exact anniversary day, and we ended up ministering to him that night for quite a while.
Since then, we’ve seen him one other time, and on Friday he told us that what we shared with him has ministered to him throughout the entire year+. He said that he was recently struggling with some things though and that he really needed prayer. We prayed over him and God moved mightily. I got a text from a friend of his the next day saying this:
Caden came to Riverwalk and Siesta last weekend too and is going to be baptized soon. So cool!
Speaking of Riverwalk, I heard it was great on Saturday. I was so thankful to be able to leave the team in charge so I could celebrate Sofiya’s 30th birthday. We had a wonderful time with her family after the 3 of us went on a boat ride around the bay earlier in the day.
Here we all are at dinner:
On Sunday, the crowds at the beach were huge. SO many people heard the gospel and received seeds. I heard at least one person praying with me during my altar call too and we got to pray over several other people as well, including these two catholic boys who were very hungry for more of Jesus.
It was a great night!
BIG thanks to Amber, Thom, Augast, Debbie, Chuck, Isa, Mike F, Jack, Rachel, Jasmine and family, Gene, Mike M, Michelle and Joe for coming out to serve this weekend. Great work everyone!
Looking forward to seeing you again soon!
Chris, Sofiya and Natalie
