Schedule, Announcements and Testimonies- November 16-19, 2023

Hey Fam! Happy Thursday!

Wow, God is REALLY doing something in our region.

Last week I wrote to you about the two multi-day tent revival meetings that were happening in our city, and today I’m excited to report that there is a 24 hour worship and prayer meeting (in the Spirit of David’s Tabernacle) happening at Fellowship of Believers from Friday (11/17) to Saturday (11/18) and there is a 3-day David’s Tabernacle meeting (through Awaken the Dawn) in Tampa that was just announced for January.

It’s so exciting to be part of this forerunner movement that God is raising up all around us!

Speaking of God moving, last weekend was full of exactly that.

Friday was interesting. I came there with a thought in my mind that maybe I should put Bayfront on pause for a while, since the baby is coming soon. I asked the Lord for a clear confirmation one way or the other. When I got to Bayfront, I told Mike McManus that I had just been praying that and I said to him, “I’m telling you so that you are my witness if anything happens tonight.”

Within 10 minutes a man came up to me (while Mike was standing next to me) and he said that what we are doing was great, that every believer should be doing it, that it’s really important etc. I immediately looked at Mike and I could tell we were both thinking the same thing.

After we talked to the man for a minute or two, he left, and I told Mike that what just happened felt like a confirmation. But, since we get that from believers from time to time anyway, I told him that I was going to ask for one more confirmation, which I did.

Later in the night, while Mike was standing next to me again, a man walked up to me who we hadn’t seen for a few months. The last time I saw him, he had actually yelled at me and threatened me pretty intensely. That night he had even said “I’m going to piss all over your hard work,” and then he actually peed right where I had been standing while preaching. It was so weird.

On Friday, he came up to me, he put his hand on my shoulder, and he said “I’m sorry that I was such a dick last time. That was way out of line. I like you being here, you should stay.” And then he walked away.

I looked at Mike and I said, “that’s all I need to see, we’re staying!” Pretty wild!

We definitely got to sow some good seeds that night into others too, which was great. BIG thanks to Thom, Amber, Mike, Augast, Amanda, Ciello, Nate and Brian for coming out to serve. Great job!

Saturday was powerful. There were probably 3-500 people there throughout the night and many came for prayer, and many heard. Early on we met two sisters who had just been reconciled with their mom. It was their first time ever at Riverwalk. They had come from Lakeland to visit their mom, who they were about to start living with again. They were so excited about what we were doing that all 3 of them (mom included) ended up staying for almost the entire outreach. The mom was delivered form meth addiction and one of the girls had a powerful testimony too. When she shared it, several kids came over to listen and some were praying along with her when she prayed on the mic. Here’s a video:

The girl absolutely loved it, and she told us that she had actually just been praying and asking God to connect her with people down here that would help her share her faith. So cool!

At another point, two 9-year-old girls prayed to receive the Lord, and Debbie said that they were saying that they could feel Holy Spirit come into their body! Amazing! Here’s a pic of them:

At another point, a 14-year-old young man stopped and talked to Zack, and Holy Spirit brought such conviction on him that he was crying and asking God for forgiveness. He prayed to receive rJesus right after. Here he is:

At another point, a woman named Sandy, who Mike V works with and brought to the outreach, prayed to receive Jesus too. Here’s everyone praying over her:

During the night, while I was preaching, a ton of kids were writing messages to Jesus with the sidewalk chalk and our other brother Mike drew this powerful picture alongside their messages:

So cool that it stayed there until the rain came!

And then, just when we thought the Lord was done, He drew these two teenagers over to Zack as we were packing up and both of them prayed to receive Jesus too. No pics of them unfortunately.

What a night! BIG thanks to Laney, Debbie, Chuck, Jackson, Zack, Ricardo, Mike V and Shirley for coming out to serve! Great work!

On Sunday, our outreach was significantly affected by the lack of parking because of the sand sculpture event, but it was still amazing. There were TONS of people on the beach, so we got to sow lots and lots of seeds and a good number of people came for prayer. I didn’t get to hear from everyone as to how things went for them, but I did hear about two young girls who prayed to receive the Lord with Rose and Stanley, which is awesome! Here they are:

It was also really cool that as soon as we made it to the unloading zone, a light sprinkle (not even enough to make us nervous about the stuff) came on us for about 5 minutes and we really felt like it was a sign of the favor of God.

BIG thanks to Rene, Maria, Joe, Karson, Omri, Mike M, Amber, Brendan, Jack, Rose, Stanley, Grace, Joy, Sean, Angel and the two new ladies. Great work!

Were excited about this weekend too! The schedule will be:

Friday at Bayfront Park (191) at 7

Saturday at Riverwalk (118) at 5

Sunday at Siesta Beach (296) at 3

Please pray and please come when you can!

Love and blessings,

Chris
