Schedule, Announcements and Testimonies February 16-19, 2023

Hey Fam! Happy Thursday to you!

I’ll get to last week’s testimonies in a moment, but first let me tell you why I am SOOO excited for this weekend! Our new friend and brother Pastor Charles Taylor and his team from Purpose Culture will be with us at Riverwalk for a praise and worship event that will be AMAZING!

He is aiming to have himself, 5 backup singers, a drummer, a keyboardist and possibly a bass player. He will also have a professional sound system as well as a sound technician. Here’s a little taste of thier music.

We will arrive early and will be starting promptly at 4. Please come and please bring friends!

Ok, on to LAST weekend….

First off let me give a shout out to all those that came to serve Jesus on the front lines, despite the tougher conditions-

Mike M, Paul/Pat, Diana, Laney, Chuck, Debbie, Mike V, Luis and his wife, Rene, Maria, Amber, Dave, Deb and Michelle. Thank you all SO much!

Friday night there were many people out at the park, so I’d guess that over 100 people heard the gospel. The most powerful God moment was when two women came up and started asking us questions about what we were doing. One said that she was REALLY struggling in her faith and at times even struggling to believe in God. As we talked to her about it, we found out that she is an ER Doctor who had once walked close with God but hadn’t felt close to Him in years. She shared that she felt aimless, purposeless and often hopeless. She even said that thoughts of ending her life had gone through her mind. As we ministered to her, the Holy Spirit hit her hard and she was so moved. She couldn’t stop thanking us and we could tell that it totally revived her faith and hope. She recommitted her life to Christ that night and so did her friend. By the end, they were even praying in tongues with us in the circle! It was amazing! Here’s a picture of them-

Here’s a video of her praying at the end-

On Saturday, there was a boat parade at Riverwalk, so we had to do a very abbreviated outreach down the walkway a little bit. Despite this, well over 100 people heard and we got to pray for several people too. The coolest moment of the night for me was meeting with Josh Howard at Zeko’s. Josh is an evangelist masquerading as a public high school teacher and he reached out to me to see if our team would participate in an event he is putting together at his school. Get this- Parrish High School is allowing him to use their football field for an all-day gospel crusade! They will have live worship, preaching, baptisms and prayer booths and it is all sanctioned by the school. Is that a sign of revival or what!?

It will be on March 18th from 11-8, so please consider joining us that morning as we minister to the youth. Here’s a pic of us all from that night. Josh is the one to my right.

As we were talking, we were sharing testimonies of God’s favor and timing over the works that he has called us to, and I shared with him that last month one my friends was moved to donate $5000 to the ministry. Just over an hour later, I was at home going through the mail and guess what I found? Another donation for $5000!!!!!

The Spirit moved on the heart of one of my friends, and she requested that her entire salary from a big job she did be donated to the work of preaching the gospel. Isn’t God amazing!?

Since every dollar we get goes to the advancement of the gospel, I can only imagine what God is preparing us for. More cities? More gear? Bigger events? All of the above? I don’t know, but I’m excited to watch His plans unfold!

Sunday night was a little different too because there were crazy winds that forced us to meet in the pavilion alongside the drummers. Even though we couldn’t reach as many people with the gospel, I got a report that at least 5 people prayed to receive Jesus that night. Hallelujah! Here’s one being prayed for:

That night, I also got to see my hometown Kansas City Chiefs win the Super Bowl, which was not only great for me, but also prophetic. Years ago, famous prophet Bob Jones (who lived in Kansas City and was instrumental in the formation of the International House of Prayer) prophesied this-

It’s interesting timing because right now there IS a revival going on in Kentucky at Asbury Theological Seminary. If you haven’t read about it, google “Asbury College” and look at the news articles that pop up. NBC, CBS, FOX and other secular news affiliates are reporting on this. They had a normal chapel service last Wednesday (2/8) at 10am and it was supposed to go until 10:50. It is now over a week later and it still hasn’t stopped. Thousands of people have been coming to experience this move of God from all over the world, and it has already spread to several other places.

I believe that this greater Glory is going to fall upon the 941 as well!

This weekend our schedule will be:

Friday night at Bayfront Park (151) at 7

Saturday at Riverwalk (79) at 4

Sunday at Siesta Beach (256) at 3

Please pray and please come when you can!

Also, just a reminder that we are only 4 weeks away from Ft. Lauderdale! I’ve been speaking with Pastors in South Florida this week and we may have up to 20 evangelists coming to join us from down there. It’s going to be epic!

See you soon!

Chris and Sofiya
