Testimonies, Announcements and Schedule- January 5-8, 2022

Hey Fam! Happy Thursday!

What weekend we had!

On Friday night, Bayfront Park had some decent foot traffic, so many people heard the gospel, and several families came to listen to the preaching. Afterwards, I talked to the dad of one family, and he expressed a tremendous love for Jesus. I asked him if he wanted to share some of his testimony on the microphone, and he did. His family, particularly his 14-year-old daughter was very moved by it. Here’s a video I got.

Afterwards we talked and we found out that he was on vacation from Boston. They later told me that they hadn’t even planned to come to the park that night, but that shortly before they came, they felt like something in them was saying to come and take a picture at the statue. We exchanged numbers, prayed together, and then he left to take his family to dinner.

About an hour later he came back and enthusiastically said to me- “brother! You will not believe what just happened! My 14-year-old daughter just prayed with me to receive Jesus for the first time in her life!

How amazing that God would orchestrate such a thing!

Here’s a picture of the whole family

On Saturday, it was raining at Riverwalk, so the crowds were small. Despite that, there were three kids (all siblings) that came up to us shortly after we got there, and they stayed for pretty much the entire night. They were all under 8 years old and they all prayed with us and got counsel from us. Their hunger level made me think that they had parents with strong faith, but to our knowledge there was no dad around and their mom clearly needed a revival. I almost felt like the kids would be the ones to bring it to her because by the time we were done, all three kids were very excited about Jesus! Here’s a video of them praying with James-

A short while later, a homeless man came up to us and asked me for water. I gave him one and then I asked him if he had made Jesus the Lord of his life. He said that he had done that years ago, but that he was really struggling. I asked him what was going on and he said that he hears voices in his head all day every day. He said it started after his girlfriend broke up with him 3 years ago and now it totally affects his ability to live a normal life. He said he can’t even keep a job because he is being tormented every day, which is why he is on the streets. We prayed for him, and I’ll never forget the moment when after talking with him for another 15-20 minutes or so, he suddenly said “You know what? I haven’t heard those voices the whole time we’ve been talking!” Come on Jesus!

Throughout the next 45 minutes or so, myself, James and Michael Vila gave him a lot of counsel and we tried to equip him for the battle he would face when those spirits tried to come back. By the time he left, he still hadn’t heard the voices and he was so happy. Talk about a miracle that could change his life! And what a cool way to end our 2022 outreaches!

Unfortunately, I didn’t get a picture of us all, but you can see him in this video. He’s the black guy with the mask. his name is Chris too!

Afterwards, we went to the New Year’s Eve party at the Skorski’s, and we had a blast. When the clock struck midnight, we were singing “I speak Jesus” and we actually said His Name right at 12:00:00! I fully believe this was a sign that a new boldness is coming upon the people of God to lift up His name in 2023! Here’s a video of that moment-

Sunday was a really fun time too. The drum circle guys actually had a wedding on the beach, which was interesting (and maybe prophetic), and the crowds on the beach were MASSIVE! Thousands of people had a gospel seed sown into them that day, which was amazing to watch. My favorite moment was when our friend Olga was singing right after sunset and tons of people started paying attention to what we were doing, including many in the drum circle. I only got a few videos that don’t show it all but here’s one that shows how many people were around-

Definitely a fun way to start the year!
